Data sources & licensing
What we provide
Aeolus offers APIs and tooling for personal learning, academic research, and AI-assisted quant experiments. We provide computation, aggregation, and documented access—we are not the copyright owner of raw market data and we do not sell redistributable “data packages” or “data subscriptions.”
Base data provenance
Some sample and pipeline base data comes from the open-source project chenditc/investment_data, licensed under the Apache License 2.0. We comply with the license by:
- Retaining copyright and license notices
- Documenting material changes to our processing pipeline where appropriate
- Preserving upstream NOTICE attributions when applicable
The API field meta.source is an auditable tag (for example investment_data_apache2) indicating which pipeline label was used for a response (actual values are returned by the API).
Important boundaries

| Accuracy | Data is provided as-is; delays, gaps, revisions, or replacements may occur. No warranty of completeness, real-time accuracy, or fitness for investment decisions |
| Redistribution | Do not resell or republish API output as a standalone market-data product. For commercial use, perform your own compliance review |
